Rusty fuel line question???

#1 Post by Ken Rogers »

My 65 C has a very rusty fuel line going through the tunnel. Can I replace it with brake line or even a cooper tubing? It's real bad.
Thanks,

Ken

Rusty fuel line question???

Ken,
You should be able to find fuel line at a decent parts place (like a truck parts shop). Brake line is OK, but please don't use copper. It fatigues from vibration and can split.

Rusty fuel line question???

#3 Post by Guest »

Brake line it too small. The line is not too hard to
replace, remove all things that cover the tunnel and just
fish a new on in. The line starts in the tunnel and has a
short flex tube to a short metal line that goes out to the
fuel petcock.
