Another couple of vent window questions.....

#1 Post by Jack Roberta »

What way does the vertical rubber strip go - with the curved side out or in?

What adhesive is used to glue the vent window into the chrome trim pieces?

Thanks
Jack

Jack:

On the vertical vent window seal, the curved side goes in - this lets the vent window seal against the flat outer side as it closes.

Fun little details that seem obvious when you have the (assembled) car in front of you but are poorly documented. At the WCH I'll be looking carefully at the rubber seals that wrap around the leading edge of the doors to see how the rubber terminates at the vent window. On my original '65, this rubber is just deteriorated enough to raise some questions.

Regards,

Charles
