Re: Brad Revelli
Does any of you guys have more info on him? I m about to buy a car from him, but when I google his name I was a bit worried, all scam reports and dodgy things. Thanks if any of you can clear up or describe your transactions with him. Much appreciated

Buy the seller, not the car. Same goes for furs, diamonds, and oriental rugs.

Yep, first thing I did Greg, but wanted to know as much sides to the story as possible. Seems we have worked something out. Thx

Dunno what you found, but like Bugatti T-35s, of the X million minted, only 2-times X million survive.Greg Bryan wrote:Ron - had to google thaler, but I'm up to speed now...
If you have a thaler, it's prolly fake. Unless you got it from the 'seller' you know.

Back to the question at hand. Are you buying this car from afar or sight unseen? If you are doing so and have reservations about the seller, hope you are working with completely disposable income. Some things can be done to protect yourself.

Ron, reminds me of the Stolen Valor guy who calls out the fake Navy Seals, he said of the 10,000 SEALS, he has met all 50,000 of them, sometimes twice!Ron LaDow wrote:Dunno what you found, but like Bugatti T-35s, of the X million minted, only 2-times X million survive.Greg Bryan wrote:Ron - had to google thaler, but I'm up to speed now...

Re: Brad Revelli
Hello Mathieu,
Don't know where you're located (sparce profile), but with the price of even the most basic 356 these days, I can't imagine not wanting to spend the few bucks on a plane ticket and one night's hotel to see it (and the seller) in person. This coming from a guy very solidly in the low five digit income bracket who bought his last 356 for something in the low four digit range haha. Do a comparison of the cost of the trip verses the cost of the car as a percentage, and you might see it as a good investment in peace of mind.

Re: Brad Revelli
I concur with Steve. I flew to Tennessee to meet the seller of my C coupe and see and inspect the car in person. I wish I'd taken the car for a proper PPI at a knowledgeable shop to be better prepared for some of the things that are not fully sorted, but I still credit that trip with how well I did in the purchase.
