The Stoddard ones are much more durable. They also do all the other decals except I am now not so sure they can supply the Bosch coil one. ( you could ask them but I obtained that one over here in the UK)

You can get decals from most suppliers ( see the Registry spare parts vendor pages they are very comprehesive )

If we're talking about the orange decal, I just got one from Stoddard and it is applied as you describe above. They are very fragile when wet and will tear.
