New shifter bushings installed and she shifts better than my BMW.

Tires arrived last week, trying a set of Nexen 165/80/15's, but still looking for a cheap set of rims to put them on, so I can leave the 60's radials on the original rims. Is anyone running the painted silver repros from Stoddard? Site says they have to be modified to fit a B, but doesn't say what has to be done.

Car is at the paint shop now, was given a proper polishing yesterday. Today they start the work to repair the drivers door paint and blend best they can. Sorry I don't have pictures yet.

Scored a 62 parts car this weekend, lots of good chrome (better than mine) but best of all, a complete set of original, in the package Porsche rubber for the car, every last seal and gasket!!! Woohooo! No repro stuff for me!!!

In today's world that parts car looks like a restoration project waiting to happen!

Where did the Nexen tires come from and do you have a picture you can post. The Kuhmos sure aren't available now. I'm looking for my next set of tires now so I can get to the WCH next month.

I'll try to make the tub available soon enough, I think its savable for someone, but no title.

Got my hands slapped for mentioning Ebay in a different thread, but thats where I found the tires. Dragster guy is selling them as fronts for skinny drag tires. 120 shipped per pair. Lookup 165 15 on ebay and you will see them if they are still available.

John,

I live near them and went to pick up 4. They have MANY in stock so availability is good. When they run out they order up another couple of hundred.

Their info:

McCormack Racing 3563 Fort St. Lincoln Park, MI. 48146 1-800-999-3724

Note their street number; a good sign. They are strictly a drag store so the number thing was pretty much lost on them! Good tires though...

Sure....

Took her on a maiden voyage, turns out there was a local vw meet a few blocks from the house, so they let us join in.....

Image

Test run went well, so the next week she got to go to the PCA parade. Met some more brothers there....

Image

Lots of interest from the rest of the gang, several taking lots of pictures of detail areas for originality.

We've made a few trips around town for coffee and such. Still need to adjust the shifter location to work on the noise coming from the tunnel. I think something is not in the right place in 3rd and 4th. Carbs still need a little more tweaking.

Overall, we're a pretty happy family.

That's a 57 (I think) Healey 100-6. A friend of mine in Atl took it home and is bringing her back to life. Her interior didn't fair as well though and she'll need a bit more work. There are more details on the Pelican thread if you click on the link in my signature.
