Looking for engine 605058 to reunite with it's original chassis a 1961 Roadster. I am willing to discuss trade/exchange for 1961 Super 90 engine currently installed in the car.

My kingdom for 701497. A '62 Super motor.

This information should be presented in a different format- organized by engine number.

Edwin - Curt Dansby spent a lot of time compiling a list of both offered and wanted engines

PS - regarding how the information is presented, well, if you're not happy with what we got, do something about it - invent a new way!

Greg,

No need to invent a new way. This is a common problem software solves very nicely. Just have a shared spreadsheet with a few columns: engine wanted or available, contact information, date of posting, any notes. Default sort would be by engine number.

Curt's efforts were fantastic and exactly on point! Wrinkle is that it has to be manually updated. That can be fine too.

Either let any member edit it at any time, with a (daily) backup for protection, or have someone control the posting.

Currently, someone searching has to look through 37 pages post by post. Too easy to overlook.

Barry I purchased a couple of engine blocks that I would sell.

The first is 80650. It is a 1600S from 1956. All 3 pieces have the same 531 stamped on them.

The second is 89574. It's a 616/2 (1600S) motor, from 1961 and all 3 pieces have 14 stamped on them.

Both have the P, star, number, star, in the correct location.

They were in long term storage and I have not done any cleaning and measuring yet. Please list these in the data base as someone might be looking for these. Both are for sale

Early 528/2 Pre A engine 1500 Super

#554 Post by jim stephenson » Sun Jun 11, 2017 9:26 pm

Guys,

I recently picked up a 528/2 1500 3pc Super motor serial number 41004 yes that's serial number 4 really early, possibly the earliest 528/2 in existence ? It's about 75% complete with most of the really rare parts included, case, heads, carbs, intakes, air cleaners, and even a June of 1954 starter. And yes the roller crank would be included. The engine looks to be in decent overall condition, but would need a full rebuild .

Not sure at this time what I'm going to do with it, but just wondering if any of you Pre A guys are looking for a 528/2 for your
project ?

Interesting to note I remembered James Dean's 54 speedster was the first speedster outfitted with a 528/2 and I looked it up and found out his was number was 41014 exactly 10 numbers after this one.

My engine must have been installed in a Coupe or Cab when new.

Any interest in communicating please contact me direct.

Thank You,
Jim Stephenson

I would be very interested in knowing the build # on this engine. Photos would be great to document it.
