vacuum advanced distributur or not
I have been wandering if it would make my 63 SC, 1720 preform any better with a vacuum advanced distributor and late modle split shafts. Opinions?
vacuum advanced distributur or not
There isn't enough vacuum in the inlet manilfolds, due to the four carburettor chokes, to
satisfactorily operate a vacuum advance throttle.
What distributor do you have ?
I tried a 050 but was not happy with the acceleration from start, especially picking away up
a hill.
I fitted a 022 and the car was much more "driveable" and picked up more smoothly.
The 050 was a Mexican VW distributor developed to enable beetles to run on alchohol.
