I'm missing the front engine shroud over the transmission on my Euro heater 64 C. Can I use the a shroud for an American heater system, or will the Euro's carb heaters (or whatever those two horns do) get in the way?
Thanks.

I have a Euro heater car. I removed the pre-heater tubes completely because they put out WAY too much heat. I closed off the holes in the sheet metal and capped the heat exchanger holes with freeze plugs filled with silicon(all reversible). If you pull jets on your carbs, the heater pipes are in the way and if you drop a jet, that's where they end up. The sheet metal that you are asking about has holes to route the pre-heater paper tubing through. If you don't use the pre-heater, you don't need the extra holes. If you install the pre-heater stuff, make sure that no heat is leaking out at your carbs unless you are driving near the North Pole! You will love the heater. On my car, it starts making good heat in less than the first mile! To avoid heat stroke, turn the heat to barely on after 5 miles.

By front i am guessing that you are talking about the panel over the
trans. They are the same as the US heater except for the 2 holes that
duct the hot air to the carb heaters.

Front Engine Shroud - Euro heater
John, I used a hole saw to put Euro carb heater tube holes in a non-Euro front sheet metal. It would be helpful to you to have a Euro sample as a model. I found rubber grommets of the right size at my FLAPS. Good luck!
