Gday Roland,
Having bought, imported and restored a couple of project C coupes into Australia I think that you might be better off avoiding this one.
Especially if you are staring down the barrel of paying big city market rates for rust repairs, panel work, paint and mechanicals.
Gear box, engine, interior, chrome, rubber, etc etc etc. $$$$$$$$$$$$
I'd be concerned about how complete it is as sourcing missing bits and pieces is time consuming and if you are in a hurry, expensive.
How much of the unskilled [or skilled?] restoration process are you in a position to do your self?
The exchange rate is better now for parts from the US than it's been for years however I still think you'd be far better off buying a solid driver for 3 or 4 times that price. [assuming this is still possible?]
Also keep in mind that 356 values have risen steeply in the US of late. People who know more than I suggest that we could be seeing them peak.
I'd wait for a better car unless you can do much of the work yourself.
In my humble opinion.......
Cheers Craig
P.S. The mangles wheels and nipple hubcaps are both for drum brake cars.
