Hoffman Dealerships and or Distributors on the West Coast ?

#1 Post by Mark Merz »

Anybody have any info about Hoffman having dealerships and or Distributers on the West Coast in the 50's ?

Has anyone ever seen a Hoffman License Plate frame from the 50's ?

Just a shot in the dark

Mark,

My window sticker shows that there was a Hoffman-Porsche Car Corp. sub-distributer named Norwitt Motors in San Francisco. Hope this helps.

WiFi makes it all possbile! I carry my laptop with me almost everywhere I go. Thus, I'm connected throughout most of the day. I'm currently sitting in a Taco Bell parking lot, eating my Chick fil A lunch.

Technology is great!

Hoffman West Coast dealerships

#8 Post by Frank Earle »

Mark,

Here's a look at the window sticker that was on my '58 cabriolet. Competition Motors, Inc. in Los Angeles sold the car for a whopping $4114.00, which included a $4.00 outside mirror. There was a discussion about a half a year ago regarding Competition Mortors and who owned it and where it was located. I beleive it had a couple of owners, Von Neuman being one (?) and a couple of different locations.
