Reputable Mechanic in the Salem / Portland, OR area

#1 Post by Jesse Drury »

Hey 356ers, I'm in need of some recommendations...

I have relocated to the northwest from SoCal (I don't wanna hear it :P ) and have been in search for a shop that is trustworthy to work on my '52. I recently inherited this car and am not well versed in its intricacies as it has been touched by too many different people over its life and would like some help understanding it all. It needs a good tune up and evaluation for now, and probably a top end rebuild in the not too distant future. I'm reluctant to just drop it off at the first air cooled mech I find in the area for obvious reasons, so hopefully there are some of you in the area with suggestions! TIA
