Thanks David, the lid does not seal well with the thin fiber seal. I will use a rubber one next time.

So I just got back from the store; T5 semi synthetic 15W40 it is! I bought a 2.5 gal jug of it for $44.00 on sale, will probably buy another while it is on sale. Our nations largest retailer did not have it, but Autozone did.

I can use it in several other vehicles/equipment as well..

Thanks!

Mark

I decided to purchase the Porsche Classic 20W50 oil.

I read quite a few reviews about the product and there is a short video which explains the 2 types of Porsche oil in the classic range which is worth watching.

I believe if Porsche is recommending it for the 356 engine then its the one I shall go with, everything else for me is a guessing game.

A small bag can be purchased also, which is designed to carry a 1 liter can and the ancillaries required for a top up on the road.
