These aluminum alloy valve covers have half-round, soft, pink rubber gaskets about 1/8 inch across.
The mounting "knobs" have black rubber gaskets.
There are no identifying marks on the valve covers.
Where can I get replacement gaskets for these valve covers

The gaskets should be interchangeable with the standard, the knobs just have a O ring, any good hardware store will have them.

That cover gasket looks like an O-ring with a not-really-good seat.
You can get quite large ones in various formulations, so the trick is to measure the section and the length, convert that to a diameter, pick the formualtion and see if one is available:
https://www.mcmaster.com/#o-rings/=1877cjn
(they can also make custom sizes)
Ideally, the 'seat' in an application of this sort would be greater in depth than the radius of the O-ring section, but it looks like you're going to have to glue the thing in place.
Or if you have a source who can do CNC milling, you could have him cut the groove to the proper form.

I remember those valve covers from back in the day. Sold by JCWhitney and probably a few others. Problem was they never did seal very well. I had a pair on one of my dune buggy motors and they did look cool, but stock valve covers worked much better.

Craig, if the O-ring seat(s) were properly done, those things would be terrific. They'd also really quiet things down back there.Craig Richter wrote:I remember those valve covers from back in the day. Sold by JCWhitney and probably a few others. But it looks like the seat is as-cast, for pete's sake! Cast 'em, knock the large sprues off and ship 'em!

Yeah, they did muffle a lot of valve train clatter.

I think restoration designs did covers recently. you may be able to use Vic's sandwiched valve cover gasket since they will not suck in. you can get o ring rope and cut and splice it also.

Check Restoration Design (thx, Jacques). Looks like Mike has already done a proper job on that, using the stock gaskets so there's no guess-work.John Clarke wrote:Hi Ron, Yes I want them now! Next Pre Mat Project?

And they're much less expensive than I'd have guessed.
